Khongor Sand Dunes Gobi Tour
Day 1 – Middle Gobi / Baga Gazriin Chuluu
- Our Gobi Desert adventure begins in the morning as we head toward Middle Gobi (200 km).
- Visit Baga Gazriin Chuluu, a unique granite rock formation in the Gobi Desert ("Small Place of Stones").
- Dinner and overnight stay at a ger camp in Baga Gazriin Chuluu.
Day 2 – South Gobi / Yol Valley
- After breakfast at the camp, we drive early to Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park, the largest national park in Mongolia (440 km).
- Explore the stunning Yol Valley (Vulture Valley), a deep, narrow canyon with a frozen river—an unexpected gem in the Gobi.
- Visit the Local Fauna and Flora Museum.
- Lunch en route.
- Dinner and overnight stay at a ger camp.
Day 3 – South Gobi / Khongor Sand Dunes
- Breakfast at the camp.
- Drive to the spectacular Khongor Sand Dunes, stretching over 200 km.
- Experience the natural "Singing Dunes" and enjoy a camel ride on the iconic two-humped Bactrian camels, known as “living dinosaurs.”
- Dinner and overnight at a ger camp.
Day 4 – South Gobi / Bayanzag Cliffs & Tsagaan Suvarga
- After breakfast, drive to the Bayanzag Flaming Cliffs (180 km), famous for dinosaur fossils, eggs, and bones among saxual tree forests.
- Trek around Bayanzag and enjoy lunch.
- Continue to Tsagaan Suvarga (250 km), also known as the White Stupa—renowned for its stunning white limestone cliffs that have stood for over 10 million years.
- Dinner and overnight stay at a ger camp in Baga Gazriin Chuluu.
Day 5 – Return to Ulaanbaatar
- After a memorable journey through the Gobi Desert, we begin our drive back to Ulaanbaatar.
